Fill password -> Show logins should allow selecting a password

(Whiteboard: [passwords:fill-ui] )
Click on an empty password field and select "Fill password" and then "Show logins" from the context menu. The page URL is conveniently filled into the password manager dialog that opens.
But it's not possible to find an existing saved login and immediately use it to fill the password as promised (e.g. by double-click, or a button at the bottom of the dialog).
Instead, you have to again use the context menu to copy the password and then paste it manually into the password field. This adds unnecessary additional steps for the user.

It's not a regression. It's independent of the operating system and of the profile.

This is something rfeeley wanted to do as a doorhanger from the identity block so that it's associated with the tab (unlike the current manager window) but I believe others on the UX team were against it. I agree we should be more helpful in this case but bug 589628 should address many of the use cases without new UX.

Is there still a usecase now that bug 589628 fixed?
