Recently I started noticing that I can't drag Firefox browser windows around by the top of the window. If I drag from near the bottom of a tab it will work, but higher up I cannot drag. I looked closer and there is actually some discoloration of the area where I cannot drag.
This is a pretty frustrating bug because dragging windows around is a common operation.
I'm on OS X 10.11.6. Bug persists with no extensions enabled. Is always reproducible, survives quitting and restarting Firefox.
The bug also exists at least as far back as Firefox 46.0.1.

Does it work on a clean profile? If so, do you have a userContent/userChrome css file or perhaps prefs set that might be affecting this?
(I just checked, and it seems to work fine here, also on 10.11.6)

This is extremely strange. I have no explanation.
Happens with a clean/new profile. I'm on a 15-inch Retina MBP. I have no unusual apps running or any modifications to my system.

Here's an exciting development - I have the exact same window dragging bug, with the exact same associated discoloration, in Chrome 54.

Uhhh. OK. Any OSX-wide apps that might mess with this? Does the same thing happen on a separate OS X profile? (not sure how isolated those would be... you'd know better than me!)

I had/have no systemwide apps installed.
Upgrading to macOS Sierra resolved the issue for both Firefox and Chrome.

OK, sounds like for now we won't have enough info to take further action for this bug, so resolving as incomplete.
