https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-choose-what-types-information-sync-firefox mentions that password Sync is disabled when a master password is set. That hasn't been true for a number of years. This article should probably also point to the new article about master passwords and sync being requested in bug 1311131
Thanks for flagging this. I've changed that line to:

"Passwords: this synchronizes your login information. If you use a master password, you will need to enter it so Sync can access your saved passwords. See <link>Using a master password with Sync</> for more information. "

I'll make the change live when you've approved the draft to the new master password with Sync article.

Thanks! However, there are some subtleties :( If a user uses a master-password, they will need to have entered it before *any* syncing starts - which is true even if they choose to not sync passwords. So I think this might be better worded as something like:

"Passwords: this synchronizes your login information. If you use a master password, see <link> the following important information for how Sync and the master password interact"
Thanks! I've now updated the article to reflect that.

Looks great, thank. Minor followup - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-master-password-sync has the literal text:

"(Tip: Increase protection by enabling a master password on each device. See {link to master password article.)"

It looks like a link is missing.
