On IRC, :snorp brought up that the current network throttling profiles are very arbitrary (as we known on the RDM team all along). He suggested experimenting with something more generic like: * Slow * Slower * Tar Pit so that it doesn't feel like the options are meant to match real connection technologies (since they won't anyway). Defining "success" for an experiment with the labels could be tricky, but perhaps increased usage of throttling would suggest it helped...?

This is where it would be nice to be able to ship the new labels to a small set of users who are actively using it. I agree that simpler labels would probably be better. However I do like some relation to cell speeds, perhaps at least grouping them into the categories like: Slower (3g - 2g)

Maybe just change the UI slightly so that in addition to having the named speed classes, it would also be possible to easily see the actual speed limitations they introduce. It should also be possible to set a custom (network) speed limit and enforce a minimum latency. Perhaps a good icon for such a feature should look like one of the standard road speed limit signs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_limit
