Once Bug 1301717 is complete, we're storing extracted metadata for websites. Depending on how we'd like to use this information, we need to expose it in a easy-to-use way.
Bug 1301717 also introduced a BrowserProvider-backed interface for querying metadata, so querying is possible via regular ContentResolver/ContentProviderClient/etc approach. This bug then tracks any additional improvements we'd like on top of this.
We already use some metadata for highlights. Seems like for now we do not use a generic interface. Let's re-file if something comes up.
