If the installation of a search engine from a local OpenSearch xml file (via the Browser Console, as described in bug 1236498 comment 7, or an add-on ) fails due, by example, to having a malformed xml file, then the next dialog is shown by Firefox: > -- Download Error -- > Nightly could not download the search plugin from: > file:///home/.../my-badformed-file.xml > [OK] I find the twice mention of "download" misleading in this case; maybe replacing "download" with "install" is enough good for all the cases, not only for failed installs from websites. : https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/search-engines-export-import/
