Description

2 years ago
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0
Build ID: 20160920074044

Steps to reproduce:

1. Got to https://www.meteor.com/tutorials/react/components
2. Select text(code area)
2. CTRL+C
3. switch to scite text editor
4. CTRL+V

Actual results:

text has extra line feeds(below is an actual copy and paste):

<head>

  <title>Todo List</title>

</head>

<body>

  <div id="render-target"></div>

</body>

Expected results:

Text should be an exact copy of the selected text. Tested in Google Chrome and not a problem. Searched and seemed to have been a problem in past versions of Firefox but they were fixed. Problem is happening again. Running on Ubuntu Yakkety. This has been a problem for the past few version of Firefox.

It's reproducible on Windows with the native notepad.
I'm sure we have other bugs on file but it seems similar to bug 911201 or bug 365257 or bug 744408.
