Steps to reproduce:

Run browser with profile stored on removable media (for privacy).  Take media offline, and access bookmarks.   Bring media back online.


Actual results:

Browser hangs for extended period when bookmarks are accessed.


Expected results:

Browser should function normally when media is restored.  When media is offline browser should degrade gracefully.

This is not a use-case we care to support. If the underlying store is not reliable, we can't be as well.

I am not asking for it to be supported so much as I am asking for the software to fail gracefully.  Freezing with no explanation is not graceful.
