I was assuming categorical histograms would already show up like enumerated histograms for now.
Judging from IRC, this is not the case?

If it will take a little to update t.m.o for proper categorical histogram support, can we just show them as enumerated histograms right away?

bug 1326414 comment 2 suggests that mozaggregator errors out saying "BaseException: don't know how to handle a histogram of kind categorical"

Once the aggregator starts aggregating these, the dashboard may "just work" or may not. It'll probably be nice to get the category labels from someplace so we can display them, but for now just getting it to show up is the important bit.

Categorical histograms were added in Bug 1297060. I was hoping the same - that they would just "work" with telemetry.js and TMO, but that was not the case. I started work on getting these implemented, it doesn't look like there's too many changes to make, so my recommendation would be to just skip straight to the chase and not have these display as enumerated for now.
