From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:0.9.4) Gecko/20011128 Netscape6/6.2.1 BuildID: 0.9.9 release (mozilla doesn't start) Mozilla crashes on startup with the following error messaeg: (title)Mozilla.exe - Entry Point Not found(/title) The procedure entry point ?FindChar@nsCString@@QBEHGHH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll. Mozilla has never loaded for me, and gives me the same error message when I try to load the mail component or the profile manager. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download Mozilla 0.9.9 2. Install 3. Start Mozilla Actual Results: (title)Mozilla.exe - Entry Point Not found(/title) The procedure entry point ?FindChar@nsCString@@QBEHGHH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll. (program terminates after) Expected Results: I assume it should have started.
Reporter: You instaleld mozilla over an older build ! Please tell us over which build do you installed. and please create a list of .dll files who are old in your installation (in mozilla\ and mozilla\components\ ) attach the list to this bug. After that uninstall mozilla, delete all files that the installer had not deleted and reinstall mozilla.

Henrik: The error mesage is different and that means that other files could be the problem. In this case the reporter can give us the file list.. verified
