Description:
  See the testcase below.
  The invalid </td> should be ignored, but it gets through.
  It causes some empty space displayed when the table is rendered,
  possibly with a height of an empty row(?)

  I'm attaching a testcase with and without the erroneus </td>

<table border=3 cellspacing=0>
  <tr><td bgcolor=white>foo</td></tr>
    </td>
  <tr><td bgcolor=white>bar</td></tr>
