Would like a way to set the default text style (e.g. body text v paragraph) when composing e-mails. It defaults to para, which I don't want. Would also like to set default font size.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_10_5) AppleWebKit/601.4.4 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.0.3 Safari/601.4.4 Actual results: Don't like default text size and text style (paragraph) Expected results: Would like option to set MY default font size and text style (body text, not paragraph)
You can adjust the text properties (font, size) in Tools > Options, Composition. You can switch the default paragraph style off. Tools > Options, Composition, General. Last item. "When using paragraph format, the enter key creates a new paragraph" Sorry about the confusing wording, we've changed that to "Use Paragraph format instead of Body Text by default" in later versions. There is no "Options" item under the Tools menu in Thunderbird. I'm using version 45.4.0 on a Mac. Not knowing your own product is a BUG on your end, Jorg.
You didn't indicate that you were using a Mac. There the menus are different. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Menu_differences_in_Windows,_Linux,_and_Mac BTW, I know our product well enough. I you want to pick a fight, just say so.
