Since we're never going to open every single log to see whether a failure is the access denied one or today's new ccache failure,

All the recent failures are Windows 2012 and seem to be:

cannot get attributes for "z:\build\build\src\obj-firefox\memory\jemalloc\src\conftest.exe": Access is denied.


I think yesterday's spike was an anomaly, but it would still be nice to resolve the on-going issue.

this is still ongoing, not a 1 day hiccup (although the rate was high 2 days ago).

Pete, do take a look at this, we have 59 instances in the last week and it is one of the more frequent intermittent failures on the tree.
I suspect this is a build issue, maybe related to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1364651#c11 ?

FWIW, this has been reproducible for me by building win64-sccache with rust 1.20.0 or 1.21.0 instead of 1.19.0. https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=try&revision=54123dce83e6edabba90298a97e7f86ea0ec309c
