User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0 Build ID: 20161025170400 Steps to reproduce: I logged in a mail account in private window and closed the tab. Actual results: But when i open a new tab, i am suggested with the mail url which may come from my existing history that is fine. But it is opening without authentication in private window. Expected results: It should have cleared the browsing history are sessions of that particular tab then and there.
This is a privacy issue, not a security issue, so I'm going to unhide it.
It's not clear from your description if you are closing the private window or not. We do not have per-tab sessions; we only remove private session data after closing the last private window.

After closing private window (not a tab) and opening a new one I still logged in.
Josh I understood the logic now and agree with that. I am not sure with the Alex because i didn't check in mac OS.
