Steps to reproduce:

I logged in a mail account in private window and closed the tab.


Actual results:

But when i open a new tab, i am suggested with the mail url which may come from my existing history that is fine. But  it is opening without authentication in private window.


Expected results:

It should have cleared the browsing history are sessions of that particular tab then and there.

It's not clear from your description if you are closing the private window or not. We do not have per-tab sessions; we only remove private session data after closing the last private window.

Josh, I had the same issue with Firefox v50 on mac OS 10.12.1. After closing private window (not a tab) and opening a new one I still logged in.

Josh I understood the logic now and agree with that. I am not sure with the Alex because i didn't check in mac OS.
