I can only reproduce this in a profile with lots of data, and even then not all the time. That implies that it's timing related, perhaps for the awesomebar lookup?

* Open a new tab.
* Type "hello" in the location bar quite rapidly.

Expected:

* The bottom of the location bar drop-down reads [Search for "hello" with:].

Actual:

* The bar reads [Search for "hell" with:].

Hitting the down arrow will update the string to the correct value.

Hitting backspace will update the string to "hello", even though the user input is now "hell".

See attached screenshots.
Attached image Second.
(And this is in 53 Nightly.)

Can you still reproduce this?
