User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0 Build ID: 20161104212021 Steps to reproduce: - Open Play store on Android 6.0.1 (last checked: 2016-11-21) - Latest version availble: 49.0.2 - Version 50 was released on 2016-11-15 Actual results: I´m still not able to update to Firefox 50 even the update was released 6 days ago. According to the webpage, the update is availabe: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox&hl=en The update should be pushed much faster, because there are security vulnerabilities fixed in FF50: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2016-89/ Expected results: The update should be available via the Play Store right after the release.

Afaik we are performing a staged rollout of Firefox 50. @ritu: See comment above: We already released a list of fixed vulnerabilities but not all users do get the latest release yet.
As Sebastian mentioned we do a staged rollout for a few days to ensure we catch any major crashes, regressions quickly. Since 10am PST Nov 21st, I have unthrottled the updates on GooglePlay for Fennec 50. You should be able to update to Firefox for Android version 50 now.

No reason for this to be marked security sensitive. We use the Google Play staged rollout. The only control we have is the percentage of users that get the new version of Firefox. Google controls what users get the update when in the staged rollout. I believe you can install the build from Mozilla and it will not affect future updates as the Play Store still sees Firefox as installed.
