A few of my teammates have asked if we could add versioning to queries. Since I can see it being useful too, I'm filing the request here. :)
Here are some stories written by Phil Booth which I found to be very useful:
"As a user, when I accidentally break one of my queries without realizing, I want a way to return to its last known good state"
"As a user, I want a way to compare a query with arbitrary previous versions of itself"
"As a user, when proposing changes to a query, I want a way to show the changes to my peers and a way for them to provide targeted feedback on those changes"

Oops, this was added a while back, just didn't close this bug. If you're looking at the source code of a query, after a query has multiple versions then 'Query Versions' will show up in the '...' menu. This will bring up the query versioning interface, from which you can compare the current version with arbitrary older versions, and revert to any earlier version. Note that you may only be able to see versions that were saved after the query versions feature was added, you will not be able to revert to versions that were created before this feature was deployed.
