Steps to reproduce:

E.g. I accessed the forum https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_otherapps-mso_win10/microsoft-works/2762e0f3-dbfa-4477-bf29-bdd5b1f0a84f to attempt post the reply at the end of that thread dated 24/11/2016.

Responding to messages is something I do regularly and it was not a problem before version 50.0. It is still not a problem with Chrome or Microsoft Browsers.

Now I am unable to reply to any messages when logged in with Firefox.


Actual results:

The reply failed with a message "Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again."
No amount of retrying will send the message (which I later sent with Chrome).


Expected results:

The reply you see in the thread should have been posted.
Hi, thanks for reproting the issue. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce with the following specs (below)

I am able to reply just fine. Try testing on the newest version of Nightly and see if you can reproduce the issue. If you still can, can you send us your about:support info? Thanks.

I have tested with the latest version of Nightly - and, even in Safe mode, the problem is still apparent. Nightly also has some issues with one of the most useful plug-ins (Roomy Bookmarks Toolbar) when present, however this does not affect the issue at hand.

The issue is not present in Google Chrome.

Whatever was causing this problem appears to have resolved itself. This may be attributable to changes at the Micropsoft end of the problem as I reported the issue there also. I have therefore marked the issue as 'resolved'
