RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1274632

People

(Reporter: benjamingslade+mozilla, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0
Build ID: 20161031153904

Steps to reproduce:

Try and download Seamonkey from the "Windows, English (30 MB)" link ( https://download.mozilla.org/?product=seamonkey-2.40&os=win&lang=en-US ) on http://www.seamonkey-project.org

Actual results:

It gives an error saying:

Your connection is not secure

The owner of download.cdn.mozilla.net has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

download.cdn.mozilla.net uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.akamaihd.net, *.akamaihd-staging.net, *.akamaized-staging.net, *.akamaized.net, a248.e.akamai.net Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

Expected results:

According to bug 1258123 (comment 5), because of new HSTS restrictions, the download URL should now be:

> download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net

I tried downloading from:

> https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/seamonkey/releases/2.40/win32/en-US/SeaMonkey Setup 2.40.exe

and it worked fine.
