I just started using Container tabs in Nightly as a replacement to my normal MultiFirefox workflow. It would be really great to be able to specify more preferences in about:preferences#containers. Specifically, I would like a separate homepage / new tab page for my Container Tabs, because (for me) they are generally single purpose: banking should go to my online banking site, shopping should go to Amazon, if I make my own Container Tabs (such as AWS Dev account vs AWS Stage account) I want them to default to the AWS Console page on new tab open.
Just an idea. Thanks!

Neat idea! We also want about:newtab to prefer content opened in a given Container - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1288504.
Marking this as P5, since we won't be working on it anytime soon. Right now we are working on a Test Pilot study for Containers that will change the UI to make it more user friendly.

An add-on could actually implement this today, now that they can override the home page they could redirect to a different page depending on the container.
