Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 7.0; Mobile; rv:53.0) Gecko/53.0 Firefox/53.0
Build ID: 20161205030204
Steps to reproduce:
Just a request. I'd like it if Firefox for Android would save a URL immediately when I press enter on the touch keyboard. Without waiting for a DNS resolution. Without waiting to see if it'll redirect. Without waiting for the page to load.
Currently if I don't have a good network connection, if I type something into the URL bar and press enter, it'll try to start loading and (suppose the network is bad enough) get nowhere. Then I figure I'd like to, for example, copy the URL I tried to visit. So I tap on the address bar.
Actual results:
And it's blank.
Expected results:
I'd appreciate it if it kept the URL I had just typed. 'Cuz typing on a phone is kind of a pain, you know?
