All my new mail had been processed by filters, so I compacted my Inbox.
Unfortunately my unread count did not update.

This screenshot is of the View/Messages/Unread view.
As you can see, I actually have no unread messages.

would this be related?
on win32 2002100108 emptying the POP3 trash does not reset the number of
messages in the folder until the trash folder is selected.
