Details

Device: HTC Desire 820 (Android 6.0.1);
Build: Nightly 53.0a1 (2016-12-11);

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to m.youtube.com;
2. Open any random video;
3. Tap on the magnifier;
4. Long press in the "Search YouTube" field and select "ADD SEARCH ENGINE";
5. Close the page and perform a search using the new search engine added.

Expected result:
 - The search is performed using YouTube's search engine.

Actual result:
 - After performing the search the user is taken to the YouTube video he was watching when he added the search engine.

Notes:
 - This issue is only reproducible when accessing a video, this does not happen when adding YouTube as a search engine from the home page;
 - This issue was not reproducible on other sites (eBay, IMDB, Vimeo...).

I can reproduce this.
Component: Search Activity → Awesomescreen

Also, the search engine logo added from the video page is a lower quality than the one that is added from the youtube homepage.

let's bring this to the 59.5 Sprint planning next week.

per discussion, this is due to the site's implementation but not a bug in our design, lower the priority to P3.

@Max: would you help put your findings here so we have full context here as a record? Thanks!
