RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1323426

People

(Reporter: hagaihargil, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0
Build ID: 20161208153507

Steps to reproduce:

After the latest Windows 10 update, which included updates KB890830, KB3206632 and KB3209498, I am no longer able to open existing Google Sheets documents in Firefox.

Actual results:

I tried opening an existing Google Sheet but I received an error (a simple "unable to open file").
I can still open new sheets without any problems.
I can still open new and existing Google Docs (non-sheets) without any problems.

I'm having trouble with other sites as well. For example, the WhatsApp web-app still works, but it doesn't display its icon in the tab bar. I'm not sure it's related - but these two bugs happened in the same time.

Expected results:

I had hoped the sheet will open successfully. Sadly enough, Chrome has no problem opening existing Google Sheets, so it seems like an internal Firefox issue unrelated to my Windows copy.
Could you test with a fresh profile, please.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I created a new profile and everything worked without any issues. But when I signed in to my old profile in this new session it stopped working again. Only after I removed the "Privacy Badger" extension Google Sheets started functioning properly, as well as everything else.

I guess I'll try to report this bug to the Privacy Badger guys.

Thanks again.

It was actually reported in Privacy Badger's Git a couple of days ago:
