Attached are rough drafts of new designs and outlines for changes that should be made to the Preferences. The visual update should wait until we can update the add-ons manager at the same time, since they use a similar visual design.
Is this something already being staffed? Having Taipei engineers assign this this would help for discussion the UX detail on the same timezone.
As far as I know this is not staffed. I was hoping to get some volunteer contributors working on these bugs and I can help mentor as needed.
A "living" spec has been made available here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1EA-qGEjhkebW9IbUZ_fv_XYflu5dlutc60Nw57nT5sQ/edit?usp=sharing
I am thinking that this has a low barrier to entry (technically) and will like to contribute. I did read both the attachments. How do I help? Can I start implementing these things or do I have to wait before the copy review is done.
Hi Ashar, we already have a group of students that are working on fixing these bugs. I looked and I don't have any open bugs ready for new contributors. You can check https://www.joshmatthews.net/bugsahoy/ to find bugs that other people are willing to mentor.

For my interest ;), what visual proposal from https://bug1324168.bmoattachments.org/attachment.cgi?id=8819510 slide 4 has been chosen?
Slide 4 shows visual redesigns. This specific meta-bug is not targeting a redesign, though it is possible that one of those redesigns may get implemented as part of the "Photon" project. This is still very early in the planning stages and I don't think a commitment has been made yet.
