User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0
Build ID: 20161208181706
Steps to reproduce:
I have the option to force sites to use SSL if the protocol isn't manually entered. Hovever, some sites lack support for SSL. :( So to visit the site, I have to manually enter the protocol. It would help if the error page shown would offer to try the HTTP version of the same URL. Granted, because of security risks, you might want a "Are you sure" box.
1. Install an extension that forces sites to use SSL by default.
2. Visit select sites using outdated tech. I tried wugfresh.com.
3. Can you visit the site?
Actual results:
I was unable to visit the site without manually entering the protocol.
Expected results:
The error page should have suggested the HTTP version of the URL for me.

It sounds more like the extension forcing SSL should provide this functionality?

Hi, Will,
I was not able to reproduce the issue.
Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Mobile Nightly 64.0a1 (2018-09-16)
Operating System: Huawei Honor 8 (Android 7)
Could you download the latest Nightly and retry?
Thank you!

Let's assume it's fixed. The bug is two years old.

Taking into consideration Comment 3, and the fact that the build the bug is reported against is more than one stable release old and the bug can't be reproduced with a current build, I will close this issue as Works for me.
Thanks!
