From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 BuildID: 2002031104 Okay, so out of two bugs I filed last week, two were dupes, so I'm not doing so well in that department. But finding no promising results after a half hour of searching, here I go again... To see an example of this bug, visit thinkgeek with Mozilla and compare the results with 4.x or IE. Notice that in Mozilla the text is not appearing next to the images as I assume is intended. The layout you see in 4.x/IE is created using a combination of <br clear=left> and <img align=right>, and vice versa. Mozilla is not producing the same results. I don't know enough about the standard to know if we're behaving correctly or not, but I'm assuming not. Reduced testcase on the way. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load thinkgeek Actual Results: Text (in main table) is below images Expected Results: Text is next to images (compare 4.x/IE)
Okay, testcase is available at http://pantheon.yale.edu/~al262/mozilla/132526/ .
thinkgeek and testcase wfm in 0.9.8 (ID 2002020406) on Win2k. Possible regression? I'll upgrade to 0.9.9 while I'm thinking about it and try again.
Oh dear. Borked in 0.9.9 (ID 2002031104), again on win2k.
According to http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/present/graphics.html#adef-clear the clear attribute is deprecated, but that shouldn't make a difference in quirks mode with validating HTML, should it? [That's enough spamming for now, I think]
Sorry, Andrew. This is a duplicate too (though of a bug with a crappy description). Don't let this stop this from filing bugs, though. It happens to everyone (just ask Asa for the stats). The problem is that <hr> acts as if it has clear=both set.... Duplicate of "<hr /> positioning regression" (eloquent, no?). This should be fixed in today's build. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 124637 ***

aaaargh... (It annoys me particularly because due to my limited knowledge, finding dupes is one of the few useful things I do around here. Mostly I just eat Bugzilla's bandwidth as we see...) verify
