User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0
Build ID: 20150630154324

Steps to reproduce:

in v39 of firefox using the help->about-> check for updates/ OR / from the firefox page using the update to latest version option it always detects v39 as the latest and does not give the option to update from within the browser. Will require downloading and installing from a new .exe

Actual results:

gave a message of firefox is the latest version

Expected results:

prompted to update to the latest version

Are you still experiencing this? If so, please download version 55.0.3 using the link below, uninstalling your current version, and then installing version 55.0.3 that you previously downloaded?
https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/55.0.3/win64/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2055.0.3.exe

After installing, launch Firefox, open the about dialog, and try to update.

Note: this will install the 64 bit version of Firefox.
