There is no way to reset Developer Tools settings to defaults.

Before Firebug and Developers Tools were merged, one could do this in Firebug. Now the choice is gone.
Seems like a reasonable enhancement request, thanks for filing!

Chrome users can reset Developer tools with a click.

Firefox users on the other hand are left with some weird state that they aren't sure of.
Well maybe it looks good but is bad or is bad but looks good.
In conclusion the are never sure if they have messed something up.
