Steps how to reproduce with Server-Installation of  unofficial (by FRG) en-US SeaMonkey 2.50a1 (NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0 Build 20161219235428  (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit

1. In Browser ˋopen <http://www.seamonkey-project.org> → Click 
   "Documentation and Help" → Click "SeaMonkey 1.1 documentation" → Click
   "screenshots page" → Click "current release"ˊ
   Link Target is <http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/1.1/..releases/>
   what will show "Page Not Found"

a) Link should lead to <http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/>

No, this is the link to documentation for the current release, not the downloads for it.

Of course there is some sense to lead users to some documentation so that they can read about the things they want to install. But after "download" users will expect a download page, not a documentation page.
A link to documentation should be in a sentence "We strongly advise all users to download the current release instead after having read related information ..." or something like that.

2. Change http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/1.1/profiles "current release" from http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/1.1/..releases/ to http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/

Well, currently it's controversial whether we should link to a download or to a documentation page.
On <http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/1.1/> the similar link leads to a doc page ...

Although I am not happy with that sentence I think it would be better to use the link from seamonkey-project.org/doc/1.1/ on the other 2 pages.
