I notice i didn't actually change the feed URL when copy-pasting, it should be:
https://medium.com/feed/@georg.fritzsche/
I can't spot my name in the "Subscriptions" list on planet.mozilla.org, could that be the reason?

I put the firefox-UX feed in, and listed it as "Firefox UX". I can change that to your name if you like.
If we syndicate personal feeds from Medium, rather than their "publication" feeds, then we also syndicate all of that person's medium comments and other interactions to Planet as well. This is not ideal, and I'd strongly prefer not to do that.

firefox-ux is not my feed, i just copy-pasted from another bug without changing that specific part (all the rest mentions @georg.fritzsche).
As mentioned in comment 0, i intend to use that medium specifically for technical mozilla topics.
What do you recommend here, using an account that is explicitly named to match this?

I recommend that you create a publication on Medium, name it after yourself, and add your personal feed to it.
Then I will syndicate that feed to Planet, with your name associated with it. That'll get the articles you write to Planet, but won't pull in your comments or anything else.
