why can't I sign on to My Netscape using the same screenname as My 10yr old AOL account?

why can't I sign on to My Netscape using the same screenname as My 10yr old AOL account? which, by the way is the same screenname as AIM!!!! What's up?
This has nothing to do with mozilla.org. marking invalid. You need to ask either netscape.com or aol about this.
