We need Release related System Requirements information

<http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/2.0/system-requirements>:
Heading should be modified to "System Requirements SeaMonkey 2.0"

<http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/system-requirements>:
  should be moved to <http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/2.46/system-requirements>
  Heading should be modified to
"System Requirements SeaMonkey 2.46 or higher"; can be modified to
"System Requirements SeaMonkey 2.46 ... 2.52" (for example, if
  2.52 has different SR).
I think you have a basic misunderstanding here. The generic doc/ pages are always thought to be for the current version, and the doc/x.x/ paths are for older branches that have been maintained for a while in parallel to the newer one(s). I don't see why that idea should be broken. I also don't see why we need any system requirements pages around that are for older versions that have not been on long-lived branches. You could even argue about removing the docs for old branches completely and only keeping docs for the currently supported release (which nowadays is only one anyhow).

You are right, that URL system works fine - as long as someone remembers that the links in the old release notes need to be amended after each change of the RN for a new SM version. I doubt that that will work without automation (or clever relative links), but I don't know how those links currently are created. At least it did not work at all in the past, I tried <http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.30/#install>, where release notes lead to <http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/system-requirements> with the current 2.46 RN.

This system will need some rethinking.

The page heading should show for what SM Version(s) the system requirements are. That is important to avoid misunderstandings if user does not remember from what context (even might have been a search engine search result) he reached the RN page.
Summary: Rename new System Requirements to "System Requirements 2.46 or higher" → Rename new System Requirements to "System Requirements 2.46 or higher"
IMHO, it doesn't matter too much if the relnotes for an unsupported release have some links that point to actually newer releases.
NEW due to <https://unofficialseamonkeynews.wordpress.com/2016/08/04/my-unconfirmed-bug-reports/>

We will need a new System Requirements page for each change of requirements.

Ok, you have a point here. If I have an old machine or installation I may like to know which version of SeaMonkey is still supported on that specific platform (which one can't or doesn't want to upgrade). Also, Thunderbird splits up requirements by branches as well.
