Server name text field for POP Server was set to our domain. (rapi.com). We changed IP-Address for our domain and the pop3 server was now on mail.rapi.com and rapi.com pointed to router. I changed in mozilla mail the server name text field for POP Server from rapi.com to mail.rapi.com. Then a message showed up saying, that I have to take care that filters must be set for new folders (or something like that). I think this is ok, but after pressing "OK" mozilla freezed. (No more updates of GUI). I tried twice, then I installed mozilla0.9.9 from beginning, so that I was able to proceed. I got now other error messages or additional info for this bug.
There is also a similar problem with news servers, I cannot find the bug ref at the mo but it sounds exactly the same problem, ie when you modify an existing entry it causes the browser to lock up. My guess is that it is the same piece of code causing both problems.
See bug 121851 for a similar issue (with NNTP)
over to cavin who made server name change possible.
Reporter, what's the build id of the software you're running? Not sure if it's related to bug 113590. > I got now other error messages or additional info for this bug. > What are these? Can you list them out? Thanks.
Build ID from components/talkback/master.ini: 2001112012
OK, bug 113590 was fixed early 2002 so can you try a build after the fix went in and see if it resolves your problem? Thanks.
This worksforme on Linux Build 2002041621
I have just checked this with RC1 and everything works fine for me.
