Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 BuildID: 2002031104 Unfortunately, this doesn't happen every time. But, If I am looking at my Preferences, whether or not I change anything, pressing "OK" to exit the Preferences screen will sometimes cause Mozilla to stop responding and the application must be killed. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Here is one way in which I made it happen but not the only way in which I have made it happen: 1. open Mozilla 2. enter security manager password 3. press "ok" when it displays the proxy server user name and password 4. Go to "Edit" --> "Preferences" 5. Click on "Debug" bullet 6. Highlight "Networking" under "Debug" 7. click "ok" to exit preferences 8. Go to "Edit" --> "Preferences" 9. Click on "Advanced" bullet 10. Highlight "System" under "Advanced" 11. click "ok" 12. Mozilla hangs and must be killed Actual Results: The browser completely hangs and must be killed either by end-tasking it via Task Manager or from a command-line using a tool such as 'pskill'. Expected Results: Mozilla should have happily closed the Preferences dialog box and given the focus back to the web page behind it. I am running Windows 2000 Pro with SP2. McAfee VirusScan 4.51 SP1 with DAT 4.0.4193 is installed. I am also using BlackICE Defender version 2.0car. VMware version 3.0 is also installed. But the browser is running on the Host operating system and VMware was not running when this lock-up occured.
I have the same bug in Windows XP Pro, It also happens when the browser (or mail client) checks to see if it is the default browser (or mail client).
