User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0
Build ID: 20170125094131

Steps to reproduce:

Always after starting Thunderbird on my Lenovo Ideapad, WIN 10.

Actual results:

When scrolling with my ELAN Touchpad 11.4.88.2 with the 2-finger gesture it scrolls super-fast throug the folder and message lists, i can't controll it. Also scrolling messages ist way to fast.
Inertial scrolling does not work, I have to click into an area to make scrolling possible.

Expected results:

Scrolling in a normal speed (e.g. like in Firefox, Word...). Inertial scrolling should work. When I hover the mouse over an area I want to scroll there.

ISSUE SOLVED. It was no Thunderbird Bug. I noticed the Spotify app had the same problems.

Here is the solution that worked for me (via Reddit):
https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/3lhmhq/win10_elan_touchpad_scrolling_issues/

        Open regedit.exe using run

        Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> SOFTWARE -> Elantech -> Smartpad

        Change ScrollControl_Mode from 0 to 1

        Open the elan software and click apply just to make sure the settings get applied

Thanks for your work here!
