User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0
Build ID: 20161208153507
Steps to reproduce:
Website Support Forum for Thunderbird.
When reponding with advise to try an addon extension.
You then want to add text from a generic response on 'how to add an extension' - not a link.
This was available on previous website, but is no completely missing.
Actual results:
No option to select from frequent response list.
It has been removed / not included on new website.
Expected results:
All information available on previous website should have been made available on new website, such as the option to add/include frequently used reponses.
cheers.

I believe you can add this using the Macros feature. Look here:
https://support.mozilla.org/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-macros
The guide for that is here:
https://community.lithium.com/t5/Community-FAQ-s/How-to-use-Macros-in-the-My-Settings-tab/ta-p/34488
You have to register a new account to read the link above since it's a different community but I've copied & pasted the info for you below:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Click on My Settings
3. Click on the Macros tab.
4. Determine which macro you would like to edit and enter the title of your macro into the appropriate field. This will be the name used to select your macro when creating posts.
5. Enter the desired text in the corresponding text box. You may enter HTML or plain text in the text box. HTML will work in both the Rich Text and HTML editor.
6. Click Save once finished.
Using Macros:
1. While in the post editor or forums messenger, place the text cursor where you would like the macro to be inserted.
2. Select the desired macro from the Macro drop-down menu. The macro will be automatically inserted into the message body at the cursor.
All the text was already created and in full use on old website available for anyone to use.
I'm asking for it to be used on new website.
Currently all the information is at this link:
https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Customize-controls-options-and/Thunderbird-add-ons-frequently-asked-questions/ta-p/14470
But I need to be able to do as before which is click on a 'insert Frequent responses' link so that the relevant section can be auto inserted.
Sorry to sound fed up, but this new website offers very little in comparison and the loss of what feels like 90% of features is not helpful.

As I understand it, you were asking for "Common responses" feature like we had on the old site. I've attached a screenshot.
https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Common-Responses/common-forum-responses/ta-p/19430 links to the forum responses that used to be available in that tool. Related discussion:
https://support.mozilla.org/t5/SUMO-community-discussions/common-forum-responses/m-p/1365197
In case it helps, you can copy/paste text from a section of https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Customize-controls-options-and/Thunderbird-add-ons-frequently-asked-questions/ta-p/14470 (or any other KB article) into the Rich Text editor of a forum reply. You can also copy/paste article content into a Macro, but you'll need to copy it from the HTML editor to include special formatting.
