[Affected versions]:

- latest Developer Edition 53.0a2

[Affected platforms]:
- Ubuntu 16.04 32bit
- Windows 10 64bit
- macOS 10.12.3

[Steps to reproduce]:

Prerequisits:
- Two displays

1. Start Firefox on screen 1
2. Login to a webpage (I used https://vk.com because the input fields are on the right of the page) and save the credentials.
(this could reproduce as well with a website with credentials on the left side if you stick the fx on the left side of screen 2.
3. Sign-out and glue the Fx window to right edge of screen 1
4. Shrink the width of Fx so only half of input fields are visible
5. Open the same website so the autocomplete appears (after clicking user/pass input fields).

[Expected result]:
- Autocomplete menu is displayed inside Firefox window.

[Actual result]:
- Autocomplete menu is displayed on the secondary screen.
- Not sure if this is the intended behavior or not.

[Regression range]:
- Not sure if this is a regression, will investigate ASAP.

[Additional notes]:
- Screenshot of the issue is attached. (on the right of Fx the second screen begins)
- Another possible issue here could be that the Autocomplete menu is not aligned with the input fields when the width of Fx is altered:

*For example Fx is moved at the right edge of screen 2 or left edge of screen 1, edit the width so that the input fields are cut by the edge of Fx. Click inside the input field, now the Autocomplete will not be aligned anymore (as in Chrome). Again, not sure if this is a real issue. Maybe Matt can shed some light here.

I tried and failed to reproduce this on macOS. The autocomplete popup was attached to the input field, and I was unable to find a way to get it to display on the other display. Maybe it was fixed in the interim. Are you still able to reproduce on any of the original platforms?

Flags: needinfo?(bogdan.maris)

Yep, I can still reproduce this issue using latest Firefox beta (67.0b6) on macOS 10.13, Windows 10 64bit and Ubuntu 18.04 64bit.

Flags: needinfo?(bogdan.maris) → needinfo?(sfoster)

I have recently seen this a few times on Linux with an attached secondary display - both with autocomplete and addressbar popups. That makes it a windowing bug rather than a password manager bug. I don't have reliable STR, but will help where I can.
