Details
If Preferences / Mail & Newsgroups / Addressing / Address Autocompletion is
checked and the LDAP server is not reachable then all of mozilla hangs for a
long time! If it is not checked and Select Addresses is chose from a mail
compose window, the ldap directory is visible as an address book but I could
find no way in the interface to look up an email address from ldap and add it to
the message.

Mozilla 1.6. In creating a new address list, we have an ldap directory
installed that is used for lookup purposes for composing. When creating a new
address list, we can't just type a name and have it use both the personal (and
collected) address books and the ldap lookup. It only uses the local address
books. As our University is going to Mozilla as a standard, this would be a
really helpful "bug" to get fixed.
As a sidenote - in Thunderbird - it seems to just put the first ldap entry in
the address list, not give a choice - also not good.
Thanks for your help!
