From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020310 BuildID: 20020310 When i know there are people in the bravenet java chat and i try to access it from mozilla it loads up but it only shows me in the chat and not anyone else when i know other people are in it. I know this because i also access the chat from a win 95 comp at the same time with IE. (i have had alot of freind complain about this too) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to the bravenet web site (URL provided) 2.wait for chat to load and get into it 3.get into chat with IE 5.01 (or up) or make sure you know that there is someone in the chat Actual Results: you will notice that the IE chat will not show up in the mozilla chat also if you get into the chat with 2 diffent mozilla comps it neither of them register. Expected Results: it should be able to join the chat with other people and be able to chat with otheres in the chat room i have an internet router but it works correctly though the router on my windows comps with IE.
Tom, are you still seeing this with a current build (1.0 or 1.1alpha or newer)? Which JRE do you have installed?

Yes i am still seeing this bug with mozilla 1.1 alpha. I am useing JRE 1.3.
tried jre1.4 or moz 1.1b yet ?
WFM 2002092108 trunk win2k with jre 1.4.1 reporter, please update and see if you can reproduce it

I'm using build ID 20030309 for linux, with java 1.4.1. The chat utility works fine for me. I loaded the sample URL, waited for the chat applet to load (note this takes a while), and signed in. A separate chat window opened, showing myself as the only participant. I then loaded the sample URL again into a different window and signed in as another identity. The second chat window opened, displaying both versions of myself. Simultaneously the first window added my second identity to its participant list. I was able to type messages into one chat window and have them appear in the other. Shutting down one copy of the chat applet caused the username to disappear from the other copy's participant list.
Tom, can you reproduce this problem with a current copy of mozilla?
The same problem, also that when starting the chat X crashed...
@reporter Can you reproduce this with a newer build?
No response from reporter. Reporter: Please try the new java 1.4.2, if it crash please test if it isn't a problem of java or your X environment. Or try Blackdown Java. Closing Bug as Invalid, cause we are mozilla not Sun Java.
