User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.51a1 Build ID: 20170207004355 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Browser with latest SeaMonkey 2.51a1 (Build 20170207004355 or later) → if necessary maximize SeaMonkey Browser window size 2. <f9> if necessary to show sidebar 3. Move mouse pointer to border between sidebar and web page contents 4. When mouse pointer view changes to ' ↔ ' drag border to the right as far as possible Actual results: Width can be increased up to 90% (or so) of complete window width (only 1 TAB heading width remains for web page contents) Expected results: Width should be limited to useful size (may be 1/4 of window width)

In particular cases too big sidebar widths can cause problems, and root "sidebar width) might be difficult to recognize. Steps how to reproduce NOT reproducible REPRODUCIBLE with Installation of official en-US SeaMonkey 2.51a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0 Build 20170207004355 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit: 1. In Browser open <https://www.verkehr-bs.de/> 2. To 'Von' (departure location) type "Lechstraße 58" 3. To 'Nach' (destination) type "Kastanienallee" 4. Date / time: select 12:00 for a date in the future 5. click [Verbindung anzeigen] Expected: table with data appears below [Verbindung anzeigen] Actual (if remaining width for website too narrow): no timetable data 6. Increase/ decrease sidebar width to see timetable data disappear / appear

a) Might be tricky to fix - it seems knowledge how sidebar code works has become lost more or less

Perhaps it will be as easy as changing the max-width of #sidebar-box. I had this in my userChrome.css to remove the maximum width and it seemed to work: #sidebar-box { max-width: none !important }

(In reply to Isaac Schemm from comment #4) Currently I can't reproduce the problem, even not with SM Version mentioned in Report. I can't find a "userchrome.css", neither in program folders not in User Profile".
