What does "not working" mean? Do you enter an email address in your address book and nothing shows up? Do you enter a name in your address book and nothing shows up? This needs clear steps to reproduce.

Works fine for me. Please try in safe mode with add-ons switched off (see Help menu). In which version is it working for you? TB 45.x? Or did you use some other beta versions?
Thanks for your replies. I marked this bug as resolved. I found out which addon is causing this issue in Thundebird 52.0b2: MoreFunctionsForAddressBook 0.7.5 https://freeshell.de/~kaosmos/morecols-en.html I already informed the author of this addon about the bug. Hopefully he can find a solution.
