Build: 03-28--2002 trunk

Overview: Select Addresses dialog. Delay in Clear action for seach in the empty
Address Book

Steps to reproduce: 
1. First create new Address Book and keep it empty. 
2. Start Compose window. Click on Address button on the toolbar. From the Select
Addresses dialog select empty AB. 
3. In the field 'for' type any string: 'a'. Click on Clear button.

Actual Results: Notice that nothing happens. Clicking on any other button does
nothing. If you are so patient to wait around one minute or more, you see
clearing the search field.

Expected Results: Fast crearing search field.

Additional Information: It works fine with Clearing search field for not empty AB.

Tested on both Windows ME & Linux (different build ID), there was no delay in
the clear action with various cases tried.

Therefore marking as WFM, please reopen if you disagree.
