User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0 Build ID: 20170125094131 Steps to reproduce: Operations involving saving files fail in the browser, and it is not at all clear what the reason is. Tested: Firefox 45 ESR, Firefox 51 on Slackware Linux 14.2. Actual results: * saving files produces "Failed" message but with no explanation in the UI or console * installing add-ons (eg. AdBlock Plus) states "There was an error installing" with some dump in the console. * saving web pages (eg. Ctrl-S) states "Failed" in the download manager In cases where a message is dumped to the console, they are often of the form below (often buried in amongst a longer message) console.error: Could not write session state file Message: Unix error 0 during operation move on file /home/mark/.mozilla/firefox/p37j3c4k.51/sessionstore-backups/recovery.js (Success) Expected results: Operation should succeed -- saving file, or installing add-on.
