If this is not a requirement, I would say we can ignore this for now. If we do need to serve this content over HTTPS, I can use this bug to track my work around that. The site is hosted on Heroku so once we have the certificate, it should be fairly easy to associate with the app.

Adding a quick note regarding this: the website itself is just informational. It does not host the JS library. The library is available for download on GitHub. Regardless, we'll still be adding an SSL certificate.

I'd like to use autocert to create this certificate. Postponing work until we can schedule some time to do that.

The SSL certificate has been associated with the Heroku application and you can access the HTTPS site here:
https://www.metricsgraphicsjs.org/. The app should be configured to use Rack::SSL in order to redirect all HTTP requests to HTTPS requests.
