Details

MEMORY_TOTAL measures |RSS of main + SUM(USS of child processes)|, which is probably the most meaningful number we can get technically. However we also need to monitor the naive implementation |SUM(RSS all processes)| because it is far too common that people judge an applications overall memory usage based on this number to completely ignore it.
