(Opened on Annevk's suggestion[1])

Bug 1342258 exposes the new HTML "is a registrable domain suffix of or is equal to" algorithm[2] which can be used to do public-suffix matching, factored out of nsHTMLDocument::SetDomain(). This might be useful in the cookies implementation to simplify some code. Possibly nsPermission::Matches[3]?

If not, then this is an easy one to close!
