From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311 BuildID: 2002031104 I've never been able to get real player to work with mozilla. I already had real player installed on my system, mozilla didn't detect it and prompted me to download the plug-in. That was fine with me. The file it downloaded through the netscape site was for the real player installer. Okay, I'll reinstall if that's what has to be done -- no big deal. After reinstall, it still tells me to get the plug-in and no real video or audio will play. I'd rather Mozilla just ask me to tell it where real player is if it can't find it -- it's on my D drive instead of my C drive, if that has anything to do with it. Other plug-ins work fine, by the way -- flash, etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Try to click on a link to a real video (ram) file 2. 3. Actual Results: "click here to get the plug-in" Expected Results: *movie playing* That's pretty much it. Thanks for all your hard work on such a great product -- I hope the windows version is one day as tight as I hear the linux version is, so I don't have to keep using that security leaking spam machine, IE5. Thanks, Team Mozilla!!
Somewhat recently "XPCOM component" plugins were de-supported. In your "Components" directory you'll find a nppl3???.dll -- copy that to your plugins directory and it should work. Real will eventually update their installer to put things in the right place.
