Steps to reproduce:

Started my first history on this instance of Firefox two days ago, also Set the Sidebar View to By Date and Site two days ago.


Actual results:

I just noticed today, upon opening Firefox, starting a Private window, then opening the history sidebar with CTRL-H that my history from two days ago is missing. When I reopen Firefox in both regular and Private sessions, this history is still missing from the sidebar.

I can still see history items from two days ago when I type a matching phrase into the address bar and in the preview list on the History menu, so the history from two days ago is still stored, it just isn't being displayed in the sidebar.

The history from Yesterday and Today is displaying correctly in the sidebar.


Expected results:

Should display a Date entry for the history items from two days ago.

I've noticed that the results from 2 days ago still show up in the Sidebar Search, and if I change the View to By Site, By Most Visited, or By Last Visited, the sites are displayed as expected.

So it seems this bug only affects the Views that include the Date.

could be you used clear recent history or such and thus history for those specific days is gone (but you visited the same pages before/after those days and thus they still appear in history).

I don't think so, the items came back under Last 7 Days after the 2nd elapsed.

I'm seeing a similar issue in FF 59.0.3 new 3-day old (Monday May 07) install on Windows 8.1.

With history view "By Date" or "By Date and Site", I only see history for today and yesterday, history from 2 days ago is not shown in the date list but is still searchable.

Steps:
 - New install FF
 - Visit sites day of install and day after.
 - On third day, view history with Date filter.

Expected: Shows history from first day
Actual: Only shows today and yesterday
