User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build ID: 20170307145926 Steps to reproduce: 1. start download of file from https://www.kali.org/downloads/ 2. check download information after completed Actual results: The file size displayed in Firefox download window is 0 bytes, but in my download path the file size is ok (3.1 GB). Expected results: The correct file size should be displayed by Firefox.

Wxie, i tried to reproduce the issue you are describing, with no luck on Ubuntu 16.04 using FF 52.0.1 /20170316213829. I notice that one difference is that the download for me uses the garr.it mirror, but I doubt that this is the root of the problem. For some of the kali download links, I get "Gateway Anti-Virus Alert This request is blocked by the Firewall Gateway Anti-Virus Service. Name: Malformed.swf.MT.7 (Exploit) blocked.", so I could only test with a 1.1GB file from Kali Linux download page. Could you please add a few extra information for us? -what Linux distro are you using? -do you use any download addons or any add-ons at all? (listing your add-ons might be useful) -also, can you reproduce this issue on another site? for example downloading https://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/thank-you?country=EU&version=16.04.2&architecture=amd64 -another thing that might be useful would be to figure if the issue is caused by something that is set on your profile, so could you try the same steps using a clean new profile? (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox/Multiple_profiles)

Hi, Adrian: -what Linux distro are you using? Linux 4.10.3-1-ARCH i686 (32bit) -do you use any download addons or any add-ons at all? (listing your add-ons might be useful) Theme: default Plugins: OpenH264 Video Codec, 1.6; Shockwave Flash, 25.0.0.127 nothing else -also, can you reproduce this issue on another site? for example downloading https://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/thank-you?country=EU&version=16.04.2&architecture=amd64 1. download starts normally - with speed and size. 2. download finished without problem. -another thing that might be useful would be to figure if the issue is caused by something that is set on your profile, so could you try the same steps using a clean new profile? I do not have a special profile. (In reply to wxie from comment #5) > download again the file: > http://cdimage.kali.org/kali-2016.2/kali-linux-2016.2-amd64.iso > 1. download starts normally - with speed and size > 2. download finished with 0 bytes - see attached image. > > Please verify the download program can display big number 3.1 GB > (3,076,767,744 bytes). We've tried replicating this on several machines and several distros, from which we had a 32 bits one. Unfortunately, seems that the origin for the kali downloads is considered malicious, so we cannot actually test downloading the big 3.2GB kali iso. So, IMHO, based on the profile you listed and our tests, I believe that most likely there is something going on with the host and the big download file. Justin, could you try to download the above file? (maybe we are lucky and it is not blocked for you).
